SUMMARY:

FG|PG is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Executive – New Business Development to drive growth and cultivate new business opportunities in experiential marketing, trade shows, live events, and exhibits. This role identifies and secures new clients through a strategic mix of inbound and outbound sales efforts. The ideal candidate will excel in prospecting, leading capabilities presentations, preparing RFP responses, and negotiating contracts while maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.

As the primary point of contact for new accounts, you will develop tailored solutions for clients, ensuring long-term partnerships and measurable business success. You must be an expert at managing high-value accounts, with an annual revenue target of $2 million, and able to lead and oversee accounts up to $750,000. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a high level of sales activity through prospecting calls, face-to-face appointments, presentations, referrals, and networking events.
  • Forecast revenue opportunities and create actionable plans to achieve sales targets.
  • Lead all aspects of capabilities presentations, sales presentations, pitches, and proposal generation for existing clients and prospects.
  • Provide internal strategy and creative direction, including preparing creative briefs and collaborating with the account management team (if applicable) to meet client objectives.
  • Collaborate with the creative and management teams to develop innovative and customized proposals.
  • Travel to events for prospecting purposes, client meetings, engagement with new client contacts, and project delivery.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to prospective clients by delivering solutions that drive measurable business results.
  • Engage with high-level sales and marketing executives to contribute to their strategic planning and brand communication initiatives.
  • Research client organizations and the business landscape to initiate a consultative approach.
  • Propose innovative ideas, techniques, and solutions that align with brand objectives outside the RFI/RFP process.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project information within the company’s internal systems (HubSpot, Google Workspace, and Airtable).
  • Manage or oversee the Account Management Team in requesting estimates, work orders, design requests, purchase orders, and other necessary reports.
  • Manage or oversee the Account Management Team, coordinating on-site services such as freight, labor, electrical, and drayage.
  • Oversee project profitability and budget management to ensure financial goals are met.
  • Meet individual revenue volume targets of two million dollars or more annually.
  • Demonstrate the ability to sell, lead, and/or produce as the primary point of contact on accounts valued at up to $750,000 annually.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university and/or a minimum of five years of experience in business development in the marketing services, event marketing, and experiential marketing industry
  • Five years of experience selling multiple event service solutions, focusing on creative, production, and experiential sales
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and Google Docs
  • Knowledge of account management, accounting, marketing, and strategies
  • Experience with budget management and financial tracking
