SUMMARY:
FG|PG is seeking a talented Senior Designer to craft innovative brand experiences across trade shows, events, and temporary or permanent installations. In this role, you will translate marketing objectives into compelling, functional designs that captivate audiences and align with client goals.
As a key creative contributor, you will develop high-quality presentations, renderings, and 3D visualizations while collaborating with internal teams and clients to refine concepts. You will present design ideas through sketches, scale plans, and digital models, ensuring seamless integration of system and custom elements for both rental and purchase projects.
This role requires a balance of creativity and technical expertise. You will work within budget and timeline constraints while maintaining design integrity. You’ll play a critical role in RFP presentations, partnering with Account Management to develop and present exhibit concepts. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design creative brand experiences across multiple environments, including trade show exhibits, events, and temporary and permanent installations. Communicates artistic themes, marketing objectives, and functional benefits of exhibit designs
- Create high-quality presentations, visualizations, and renderings, sharing 3D design files with partners, graphic design, and project and account management departments
- Present their ideas as sketches, scale plans, computer-generated visuals, and models
- Consult with clients on communication and functional needs
- Works under moderate supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment
- Consult with owners and sales staff and articulate the merit of their work as it benefits the client
- Strategically and professionally present complex ideas and designs to partners and clients during design meetings via face-to-face, phone, and email
- Maintain electronic files, libraries, and/or materials samples
- Integrate system and custom elements into purchase and rental projects ranging from small inline exhibits to large custom exhibits
- Design within budgets, due dates, and design requirements for each project
- Partner and take a lead role with Account Management on RFP presentations. Responsibilities include designing the Exhibit and the presentation, as well as presenting the design portion of the project to prospective clients
- Assist the Project Managers/Account Management with design breakouts and overall specs for quoting
- Take design direction from the partners, clients, sales representatives, and senior colleagues
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following: architecture, environmental design, retail design, interior design, industrial design, exhibit design or experiential design
- Must have previous experience in the exhibit, trade shows, experiential marketing, and event planning
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in Trade show/Event Design
- Can work independently on all projects, both small and large
- Has exceptional knowledge but still actively learns about and applies new design trends and skills
- Be able to assess designs and know when to scale back as needed and come up with alternate solutions as necessary
- Ability to mentor and provide guidance and knowledge about design
- 3D modeling, concept sketching, environmental branding, creative writing, floor plan/space development, presentation layouts, basic construction drawings, and familiarity with Adobe Suite software
