Epic Games wanted their E3 booth to be an immersive in-game party experience to thank and celebrate Fortnite fans.
10k square feet of interactive mayhem.
Fortnite reached new heights in 2018 and this year’s E3 provided the perfect opportunity to celebrate the community behind Epic’s wildly successful battle royale game. From the BoogieDown Challenge to a Supply Llama Rodeo, there was plenty of excitement and delight to keep all of Fortnite’s players, partners, and friends engaged from show open to close.
Guests were drawn into the booth from afar by a massive 12-foot-tall backlit Fortnite logo suspended above an actual BATTLE BUS. Complete with a custom-fabricated 18-foot hot air balloon and a 100-pound disco ball floating high above the show floor, it was impossible to miss.
Designed to bring Fortnite to life, booth activations recreated immersive in-game experiences.
Using a custom fabricated hang glider and 3D mapping, fans could literally “drop” into the game. There was a performance stage where participants could showcase signature BoogieDown dance emotes plus cosplay photo-ops complete with 3D-printed versions of the game’s iconic pickaxes.
Fans competed on their favorite platforms, won exclusive prizes, and scored free snacks along the way. Fortnite dolled out 10,800 servings of Hot-Buttered Popcorn, 3,120 Freshly Baked Cookies, 1500 Llama Ice Pops, and 595 Gallons of Water. In addition to broadcasting their highly anticipated Celebrity Pro-Am, a slew of celebrities stopped by to get in on the action. There was literally something for everyone.

Best In Show
The road to E3 was fast and furious.
FG|PG designed and fabricated Fortnite’s best-in-show experience over the course of 60 days. We logged 3,500 hours of Custom Fabrication, 813 hours of Scenic Painting, printed 9,000 sq. ft. of Graphics, created 12 life-size 3D Printed Pickaxes, overhauled 1 fully functional 38-foot Battle Bus and we are just getting started. Come back soon to see more Fortnite fun!
“FG|PG has been a joy to work with from beginning to end. I left the booth at 6pm the day before show open, and that has never happened before. When my coworkers asked why I wasn’t at the booth, all I said was FG|PG…they got it done. We won 4 awards for Best-In-Show and the fans loved it. Thank you very much!”
