FGPG Discusses Best in Low Exhibit as Art on LAist Weekend Report

Discover the Art Behind Lowriders with FGPG and the Petersen Automotive Museum

In this exclusive NPR audio clip, our founder and CEO, Frédérique Georges, explores the artistic depth of lowriders, calling them “very personal pieces of art that inspire you to want to learn about the artist.” Featured on LAist’s Weekend Report, she discusses FGPG’s pivotal role in bringing Best in Low, the Petersen Automotive Museum’s largest-ever lowrider exhibit, to life. As our eighth collaboration with the museum, this showcase celebrates the craftsmanship and cultural significance of lowriders, featuring iconic vehicles like Gypsy Rose, “Final Score,” and “Dead Presidents”—each a masterpiece in the world of automotive art.

At FGPG, we had the honor of designing the exhibit to reflect the beauty and individuality of these remarkable vehicles. From the intricate car hood display, which showcases custom-painted pieces by artists across the country, to the creative lighting that highlights the stunning details of each lowrider, every element of the exhibit was crafted to captivate and inspire. Our partnership with the Petersen Museum allowed us to emphasize the passion and artistry behind lowriding while making the exhibit both sustainable and visually dynamic.
