SUMMARY:
FG|PG is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Executive to drive growth and cultivate new business opportunities in experiential marketing, trade shows, live events, and exhibits. This role identifies and secures new clients through a strategic mix of inbound and outbound sales efforts. The ideal candidate will excel in prospecting, leading capabilities presentations, preparing RFP responses, and negotiating contracts while maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
As the primary point of contact for new accounts, you will develop tailored solutions for clients, ensuring long-term partnerships and measurable business success. You must be an expert at managing high-value accounts, with an annual revenue target of $2 million, and able to lead and oversee accounts up to $750,000. The Account Executive is responsible for driving and cultivating new business opportunities on behalf of the company through inbound leads and outbound strategy. The AE engages in all stages of the pre-launch cycle, from prospecting to leading capabilities presentations, preparing responses to RFPs, leading the pitch process, and negotiating contracts. This role effectively qualifies prospects, presents customized solutions to senior executives, and builds long-term relationships for FG|PG and will take all appropriate and necessary action to ensure prospective clients regard the company highly and rely upon FG|PG as their resource for present and future experiential marketing communications solutions.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain a high level of sales activity through prospecting calls, face-to-face appointments, presentations, referrals, and networking events.
- Responsible for forecasting revenue opportunities
- Lead all aspects of capabilities presentations, sales presentations, pitches, and proposal generation for inbound leads and new prospects.
- Provide internal strategy and creative direction, including preparing creative briefs and communicating with the Account Management Team (AMT), as applicable, to ensure client objectives are met.
- Interface with the creative and executive teams to develop creative proposals.
- Travel to events for prospecting purposes, set up prospect/client appointments, engage new client contacts, and project delivery
- Serve as a strategic partner to prospective clients by driving solutions that deliver measurable business results.
- Meet with executives to be part of their strategic planning and brand communication initiatives.
- By researching client organizations and the business landscape, bring a consultative approach by creating new ideas, techniques, and customized solutions outside the RFI/RFP circle that clients can consider deploying to exceed their brand objectives.
- Maintain up-to-date client and project information within the company’s internal systems (HubSpot, Google Workspace, and Airtable)
- Monitor project progress with AMT to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and client satisfaction.
- Stay in communication with the AMT to confirm all fabrication and logistic services are being managed effectively and within budget parameters
- Oversee jobs for profitability and budget management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university and a minimum of five years of experience in business development in the marketing services, event marketing, and experiential marketing industry
- Five years of experience selling multiple event service solutions, focusing on creative, production, and experiential sales
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and Google Docs
- Knowledge of account management, accounting, marketing, and strategies
- Experience with budget management and financial tracking
