SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Director with a strong background in trade shows and live events. In this role, you’ll oversee key client relationships, lead account teams, and ensure seamless project delivery. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building trust and strengthening partnerships.
• Participate in client meetings and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Schedule and attend turnover meetings to align project details and expectations.
• Direct Account Managers and Coordinators in arranging onsite services (e.g., labor, electrical, drayage).
• Maintain up-to-date project information within internal systems (HubSpot, Google Workplace, Airtable).
• Oversee project budgets and profitability, managing estimates, work orders, design requests, and reports.
• Travel to show sites as necessary to represent the company and oversee project execution.
• Ensure accurate tracking of labor and material charges and prepare jobs for invoicing.
• Provide feedback and counsel to account staff to meet performance goals and client objectives.
• Conduct performance evaluations and manage day-to-day team operations, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Develop client proposals and presentations to secure new accounts and support organic growth.
• Create comprehensive client plans to identify business opportunities and client needs proactively.
• Collaborate with internal teams to manage and support existing accounts effectively.
• Resolve client issues promptly to maintain trust and ensure timely delivery of services and products.
• Act as a key decision-maker on operational, financial, and personnel matters, exercising independent judgment in complex event management scenarios and providing data-driven recommendations and solutions to technical problems.
• Set strategic goals for the department and develop actionable plans to achieve them.
• Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to maintain high professional competence.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree in Business Administration, Communication, Marketing, or related fields
• A minimum of ten years of trade show, exhibit, and event management experience
• Comprehend construction methods
• Read floor plans and 3D drawings
• Knowledge of fabrication methods and materials standards for trade shows and event industry
• Excellent in verbal and written communication

LOCATION:
We are looking for someone who can work out of our Huntington Beach, CA, Headquarters.
